I grew up in Kingsport and graduated from Sullivan Central High School in 1974, East Tennessee State University in 1979, and the University of Tennessee Law School in December 1982. I was admitted to practice law in February 1983. I returned to Kingsport and started my law office, where I have proudly represented my clients for over 40 years.
I have served on the Board of Governors for Tennessee Trial Lawyers Association, performed pro bono work for Legal Services of Upper East Tennessee, and served as Court appointed Guardian ad litem for juveniles and adults. In addition, I have coached mock trial teams and served as Judge for local high school mock trial teams, participated in local high school "job shadowing" programs for students, and coached in local youth sports programs. I have enjoyed my law practice which has allowed me to practice extensively in many areas of law, representing people like you.
In my free time, I enjoy flyfishing in our local streams and rivers. I also love spending time with my family and especially my grandchildren.
